CarboxylMethyl Cellulose ( CMC ) Battery Grade

CMC is used as an electrode binder for advanced batteries such as lithium-ion batteries, especially for graphite anodes. Compared with traditional non-water-soluble binders like polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), the water solubility of CMC makes it less toxic during processing and lower in cost.

In batteries, CMC plays a role in suspending and stabilizing active substances, while also stabilizing the structure of the electrode sheets and improving the fluidity of the slurry. Improve the charging and discharging performance .

The application in batteries is mainly reflected in the following aspects :

Binder: As a water-based binder, CMC can closely combine active materials and conductive agents to form a stable electrode structure, thereby enhancing the battery's capacity and cycle life .
