The glass industry: In 2023, the glass industry consumed over 1.1 million tons of sodium sulfate. It acts as a refining agent, eliminating bubbles in molten glass and enhancing optical transparency and strength.

Textile and leather industry: Approximately 950,000 tons of sodium sulfate are used for textile dyeing each year. It ensures that the dye penetrates evenly and minimizes streaks on the fabric. In leather tanning, it helps soften the leather.

Cellulose and paper industry: In 2023, over 880,000 tons of sodium sulfate were used in pulp processing to enhance whiteness and reduce fiber damage. It functions in the pulping of kraft paper by neutralizing residual alkali.

Detergent and cleaning agent industry: Leading industry, with a consumption of 2.3 million tons in 2023. It is used as a filler and anti-caking agent in powder detergent formulations. Its inert nature makes it compatible with a variety of surfactants.
